An Ending 03:27

about

My final album of 2020 is loosely biographical in nature representing the last 12 months of my life reflecting my moods, optimism and dreams. I hope that you take something from these offerings and enjoy. It’s very much an autumnal album but I don’t mean to say that it’s depressing and represents the end of summer rather that it represents change and moving on physically and mentally.

Initial inspiration for these 13 tracks came from a new mouthpiece for my tenor saxophone which added new textures and possibilities to my sound… so I thought why not put the sax front and centre of the next album once and for all where it belongs? So I set to work adding strings, samples, bass, percussion, organ, piano and anything else I could find...

I produced this album to be listened to as a whole in the order given for it to at least make sense to me and to tell my story. But feel free to listen to it in any order, to repeat or skip tracks if you find albums old fashioned!

Thanks as ever to Rachael for her feedback and patience to whom this work is humbly dedicated.

Peace be with you all.

So here is This Machine is Not in Use.
