A Pagan Landscape

from A Pagan Landscape by Richard Davies

/

lyrics

Misty cursed land rolls down to our sea
The ghost of industry towers over all
And the body of truth runs underground
When the centre of the world ran through this southern land
Tin and laughter gathered easily bringing people together
Before even then, people were buried here
Their loved ones lie with the soil and the night
A view of the ocean, a view of the sky
Rumbling by
When the tin has gone the artists will come
A new canvas is born from the moor and the sun
Then people will stumble over what was once new
Stare out to beyond and depart again and again and again and again and again and again
The Pagan landscape will live forever
